Claudette Tomlinson qualified as a solicitor in 1998 after completing a law degree at Middlesex University, undertaking her Legal Practice course at the College of Law and completing her training contract with a general practice in Hammersmith.
Since qualification Claudette has specialised in criminal law working for defence practices in South London. She joined the team at Birds Solicitors as a Consultant in February 2006.
Claudette is committed to providing quality legal advice to persons detained at police stations and those appearing in the Magistrates Court and obtaining the best possible result for the client.
During her years of practice has worked with defendants in a number of high profile cases including the "Bling-Bling" drug importation case and a case involving large scale riots in Yarlsworth Detention Centre.
She advises on the full range of criminal offences from road traffic to serious assaults and violent offences; and has a particular interest in defending children and young people and mentally disordered clients.
Claudette has delivered seminars to young people and parents on knowing your rights and procedure at court and in the police station; and is currently a trained Performance Coach Working with students at a South London School.
She is a duty solicitor in the police station and magistrates courts.
