James Nicholls joined the firm in January 2009 as a consultant solicitor. He trained at Edward Fail Waterson & Bradshaw, before moving on to Simons Muirhead & Burton and then the Stokoe Partnership as an assistant solicitor. He set up his own firm, Nicholls & Co later to become Nicholls Parfitt. He then became a consultant solicitor at Shearman Bowen before joining Birds Solicitors.

James is very experienced in complex and serious crime. He is a duty solicitor and regularly attends Magistrates Courts and Police Station throughout London.
